Grand Baie to Flic en Flac Hotel Transfer

A private Grand Baie to Flic en Flac hotel transfer starts from €110 per vehicle, one way. The final price depends on the number of stops and the time spent at each stop.

Travel directly to your next accommodation or include a Port Louis visit for sightseeing, shopping or lunch. Your booking includes a private vehicle, driver, fuel, parking, luggage space and waiting during the agreed stops. Meals, purchases and attraction tickets are separate.

We confirm the complete transport price before booking, so you know the cost of your chosen journey in advance.

Barefoot Transfers Mauritius is a local, family-run business. We collect you from your Grand Baie accommodation and take you to your hotel, villa or apartment in Flic en Flac or Wolmar.

Direct transfer or a Port Louis stop?

Travel directly to your next accommodation

Choose a direct transfer if you want to settle into your new hotel, keep the journey simple with children or arrive for a particular reservation.

We confirm the journey allowance using your actual accommodation addresses and pickup time. Traffic, the approach to your property and the distance along the Wolmar hotel coast can affect arrival.

A direct booking takes you to the named property. You do not need to arrange another taxi from Flic en Flac village to your hotel.

Visit Port Louis during the hotel change

A planned stop in Port Louis can make use of the time between checking out in Grand Baie and arriving at your next accommodation.

Choose what matters most:

  • A walk and refreshments at Caudan Waterfront.

  • Shopping at the Caudan Craft Market.

  • A visit to the Central Market.

  • Lunch before continuing to Flic en Flac.

Passing near Port Louis does not make a city visit part of the direct-transfer fare. Entering the city, parking, visiting and meeting your driver again all need time.

Your luggage travels in the booked vehicle, so you can explore with a small day bag.

How much time should we allow in Port Louis?

For a short waterfront visit, 60 to 90 minutes can be a useful starting allowance. This gives you time for a walk, photographs or refreshments, depending on your pace.

For the Central Market and Caudan Waterfront together, consider two to three hours in the city, especially if you want food or shopping time.

These are suggested visiting allowances. Driving between your hotels and Port Louis comes in addition.

A sit-down lunch can use a substantial part of a short stop. Tell us whether lunch should fit within your visiting time or extend the booking.

Before leaving the vehicle, agree on:

  • Your collection point.

  • The time to meet your driver.

  • How to contact each other.

  • Whether you will finish at the same place or elsewhere.

The transport booking includes driver waiting at the agreed stops. A walking guide is a separate service unless specifically included.

Planning a Sunday or public-holiday stop

Check the opening hours of the places you actually want to visit.

The Caudan Craft Market publishes these hours:

  • Monday to Saturday: 09:30 to 18:00.

  • Sundays and public holidays: 09:30 to 14:00.

If craft shopping is your priority on a Sunday, plan to visit before the afternoon closing time.

These hours apply to the Craft Market. Restaurants, museums, other shops and the Central Market have their own arrangements.

Grand Baie pickup and Flic en Flac drop-off

We arrange collection from Grand Baie hotels, including LUX* Grand Baie, Royal Palm Beachcomber, Mauricia Beachcomber and Veranda Grand Baie.

If your accommodation is in Pereybere, Pointe aux Canonniers or another nearby area, send its exact name and location. Properties advertised under “Grand Baie” can have different pickup addresses.

In Flic en Flac and Wolmar, destinations include Sugar Beach, La Pirogue, Hilton Mauritius, Sofitel Mauritius L’Impérial and Maradiva, along with smaller hotels and self-catering properties.

Your confirmation identifies the actual pickup and drop-off locations.

Staying in an apartment or villa?

Send a location pin and any gate instructions. Confirm with your host:

  • When you can enter the property.

  • Where you collect the keys.

  • Whether someone will meet you.

  • Whether luggage can be left before check-in.

If key collection takes place at another address, include that stop when booking.

Can we stop for groceries?

Yes. A supermarket stop can be arranged before you reach your apartment or villa.

If you are also visiting Port Louis, shopping closer to the end of the journey can reduce the time your groceries spend in the vehicle.

Tell us approximately how long you need and whether you want a small essentials stop or a larger shop. The waiting time is included in the agreed booking and price.

Choosing a vehicle for passengers and luggage

A hotel change involves more luggage than an ordinary sightseeing outing. Include all large suitcases, cabin bags and bulky equipment when booking.

Mention pushchairs, golf bags, travel cots and mobility equipment separately. Child seats also affect the seating arrangement.

For larger families or friends travelling together, our private minibus service explains how we assess passenger and luggage space.

Keep passports, medication, money and anything you need during a city visit in a small bag with you.

What does the transport price include?

Your confirmed booking includes:

  • A private vehicle for your party.

  • Your driver, fuel and parking for the agreed route.

  • Collection and drop-off at the specified properties.

  • Space for the luggage confirmed when booking.

  • Waiting during any stops included in your itinerary.

Meals, purchases, attraction tickets and separately arranged guides are additional.

For a personalised sightseeing transfer, we agree on one total covering the complete journey. Additional stops or extra waiting requested later may change the price.

Our hotel transfers with sightseeing guide explains the wider options for moving between accommodations.

Frequently asked questions

Can we travel from Flic en Flac to Grand Baie instead?

Yes. We arrange the reverse journey, with the pickup time and optional stops planned around your accommodation and arrival requirements.

Can we add Pamplemousses Botanical Garden?

It can be considered, but a garden visit needs its own visiting time and admission budget. Combining the garden, Port Louis and a hotel change creates a longer itinerary.

Our private driver service covers bookings with several visits and additional hours.

Can we add Casela or Chamarel?

These require a different plan from a short Port Louis stop. Tell us your priorities before booking so we can assess the driving, visiting time and final hotel arrival.

Can we reach the new hotel before check-in?

You can request an earlier drop-off. The property decides whether your room is ready and whether you can store luggage or use its facilities before check-in.

Are child seats available?

Yes. Send each child’s age, height and approximate weight. Mention if you need a rear-facing seat and whether you are bringing a pushchair.

Can we shorten the Port Louis visit?

Yes. Tell your driver if you would prefer to continue to Flic en Flac earlier. Finishing early does not automatically reduce the agreed booking price.

How do we pay?

Pay your driver in cash at the end of the journey. We accept euros, British pounds, Mauritian rupees and US dollars. Agree on your payment currency when booking.

Card payment is not available in the vehicle.
