How much does a Mauritius airport transfer cost?
The price depends on your destination, the vehicle required and any additional stops. We quote for the whole vehicle, so the agreed fare covers everyone included in your booking.
For most resort transfers, a private SUV starts from €50 one way. Larger families, groups and travellers with extra luggage can request a minivan or minibus quote.
Before confirming, send us your passenger count and luggage details. Four passengers with small bags may need a different vehicle from four passengers travelling with large suitcases, a pushchair and golf clubs.
Your written confirmation will state the agreed route, vehicle and price. Any additional stops or applicable supplements are agreed before the journey.

SSR Airport sits in the south-east, so your drive time depends on where you're staying. Every price is fixed per vehicle (not per person), agreed before you fly, and includes tolls, parking, GST, meet-and-greet and up to 60 minutes of waiting. The 9 PM–5 AM night surcharge is the only time-based addition, always disclosed upfront.
Blue Bay and Mahébourg, right beside the airport in the south-east, are a 10–15 minute drive with fixed prices from 25€. Bel Ombre and the south coast take 40–50 minutes, from 50€. Port Louis and the cruise terminal are 45–55 minutes away, from 50€. Flic en Flac and Tamarin on the west coast run 50–60 minutes, from 50€, and Belle Mare on the east coast is about an hour, from 50€. Le Morne in the south-west takes 60–70 minutes, from 50€; Balaclava and Turtle Bay in the north-west 60–75 minutes, from 50€; and the island's longest common route, to Grand Baie and Trou aux Biches in the far north, is 70–80 minutes with fixed prices from 50€.

Why pre-book? The local facts
Uber here isn't Uber as you know it. Since March 2026 the Uber app works in Mauritius — but it's a front-end for the local Alalila taxi network: the same licensed taxis, priced at local taxi rates (not the cheap Uber fares you know from abroad), with variable availability, possible cancellations, standard cars only and no guaranteed child seats. Rank taxis negotiate on the spot — and the longer your route (Grand Baie is 70+ minutes away), the more an unbooked fare can climb. Official rank rates often run well above a pre-booked fixed price.
Night arrivals are normal here. Many long-haul flights land late; a pre-booked driver with your name board beats searching for transport at 11 PM with children asleep on the trolley.

The biggest transfer sites for Mauritius don't own a single car here
Search "Mauritius airport transfer" and the top results are international booking platforms. Here's what they actually are: middlemen. They take your booking in London or Barcelona, then subcontract it to a local Mauritian driver — often one of the same drivers you could book directly — and keep a commission for the introduction.
