Ebene and Port Louis Business Chauffeur

Book a private business chauffeur for meetings in Ebene and Port Louis from €100 per vehicle for up to four passengers. Standard day hire covers around 7 to 8 hours, with your driver, fuel, parking and waiting at agreed appointments included within the booked period.

We arrange hotel pickup, travel between offices and your final drop-off around your meeting schedule. Your starting location, vehicle, route and required hours determine the total, which we confirm before you book.

Barefoot Transfers Mauritius is a local, family-run business. You can send your meeting schedule directly to our team so we can help organise the transport.

How much does a business chauffeur cost?

A standard private vehicle starts from €100 for the day, accommodating up to four passengers, subject to luggage requirements.

The booking covers your agreed route and hours. Meeting waits and lunch stops count towards that period, along with the driving.

For example, an agreed booking from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm is an eight-hour booking. The clock continues while you attend meetings. This is an illustration of how booked hours work, rather than a fixed schedule for every customer.

Executive vehicles, larger groups and extended schedules are priced according to the arrangement required. The €100 starting rate applies to a standard vehicle.

For the wider service and general booking terms, see our private driver day hire in Mauritius.

When is a chauffeur useful for a business day?

Day hire works well when you have several appointments and need transport available between them.

Your schedule might include a hotel pickup, two meetings in Ébène, lunch, an afternoon appointment in Port Louis and a return to your accommodation.

It can also suit colleagues travelling together, particularly when different people are joining or leaving the group during the day.

If you only need one outward journey and a return collection, include those details when booking. The transport arrangement should reflect the journeys you actually need.

Plan around your required arrival time

The meeting start time is not always the time you need to reach the building.

Your host may ask you to report to reception early, collect a visitor pass or allow time to reach the correct floor.

For example, if a meeting begins at 10:00 am but reception expects you at 9:40 am, tell us 9:40 am is the required arrival time. We then plan the pickup around that deadline, with an allowance for the road journey.

For each appointment, share:

  • The meeting start time.

  • The time you need to reach reception.

  • The expected finish time.

  • Any appointment that cannot move.

Avoid building the day around the shortest estimated driving time. Office access, traffic and the previous meeting’s finish time can all affect the next arrival.

Send the building and visitor entrance details

A company name alone may not identify the correct destination. The business could have several branches, occupy one tower in a larger development or use a visitor entrance on a different street.

For each stop in Ébène or Port Louis, send the building name, full address and a map pin where available.

Include any instructions your host has provided, such as:

  • Which tower or building to use.

  • The visitor drop-off entrance.

  • Whether vehicle access needs arranging beforehand.

  • Where passengers should be collected afterwards.

There is no need to share confidential meeting documents. We need the transport details required to reach the correct place.

Organise meetings by area when possible

If your appointment times are flexible, keeping meetings in the same area together can reduce unnecessary journeys.

For example, completing your Ébène appointments before moving to Port Louis may be more practical than travelling repeatedly between the two.

When the times are already fixed, send the full schedule. We can review the transport between appointments and highlight any gap that looks too tight.

Include lunch in the plan, especially if you intend to meet someone at a restaurant. Its location and duration affect the time available for the next office visit.

Does the driver wait during meetings?

Yes. Waiting during the appointments on your agreed itinerary is included within your booked hours.

However, waiting does not necessarily mean the vehicle can remain directly outside the entrance. The driver may need to use a permitted parking area and return to the collection point.

Before entering the building, agree where you will meet afterwards. If your meeting finishes early, message the driver so they can arrange collection.

When several colleagues are travelling together, choosing one person to communicate with the driver helps avoid conflicting pickup instructions.

What happens if a meeting runs late?

Let your driver or our team know as soon as you expect a delay.

We can then review the remaining journey and discuss whether the next stop, lunch break or planned finish needs to change. If another appointment has a fixed start time, tell us which deadline takes priority.

Additional hours depend on availability. Any extra charge is agreed before the booking is extended.

A longer meeting may also mean dropping an optional stop. Allowing some space between appointments makes the day easier to adjust.

Travelling with colleagues or luggage

Tell us the highest number of passengers travelling together at any point during the day.

For example, a booking that begins with two passengers but collects three colleagues later needs a vehicle suitable for five people.

Mention suitcases, presentation equipment, exhibition materials or other bulky items before booking. Enough passenger seats do not automatically mean enough luggage space.

For larger teams, our minibus hire for business groups explains how we arrange passenger and luggage capacity.

Keep passports, laptops and documents you need for your meetings with you when leaving the vehicle.

Can we include an airport journey?

Yes, an airport pickup or drop-off can form part of a personalised business itinerary, but it is not automatically included in the advertised day-hire rate.

Send your flight details, luggage count and meeting schedule together so we can confirm the complete arrangement.

For an arrival-day meeting, allow for immigration, baggage collection and the journey from the airport. A flight’s landing time is not the time you will be ready to leave the terminal.

If you only need the airport journey, use our private Mauritius airport transfers page.

How do we pay?

Standard single-day bookings are paid in cash to the driver at the end of the day. We accept euros, Mauritian rupees, British pounds and US dollars. Confirm your preferred payment currency when booking.

Card payment is not available in the vehicles. Payment arrangements for several days are confirmed with the booking.
